Jewelry Making Classes

 Classes are taught by Rene Venegas, a 16th generation master silversmith. He was taught as a youth by his father and later took specialized classes. In addition to classes taught at The Local Artisan Collective, he teaches jewelry making and metal smithing at Weber State University.

All classes are held at The Local Artisan Collective, llc shoppe in The Junction in downtown Ogden at 2371 Kiesel Ave.

You can pay for the class in person at the store or on our website at www.localartisancollective.com/calendar then click on jewelry.

We offer two different types of classes -- 

• Open Classes -- we teach you the skills as you create your own designed jewelry. We supply the tools and equipment and you supply the metal and stones.
• Workshop Classes -- These are make-n-takes/DIY i.e. everyone makes what we have planned and we supply everything (metal, tools, equipment).

Open Classes:

• Wednesdays
• 10am
• Thursdays
• 10am--2pm
• 6pm - 9pm
• Other days and times by appointment

Students will learn how to make earrings, necklaces, rings, bracelets and anything else you want out of silver, gold and precious stones. 

ALL skill levels are invited to class. No experience needed.

You are welcome to come as little or as often as you want --- whatever your schedule dictates.

Workshop Classes: 

We have four classes that we rotate during most 1^st and 2^nd Friday evenings. Check our website www.localartinsancollective.com/calendar for specific days and times. 

Copper Bracelet Class. Come and make a copper bracelet, complete with an inscription. We will provide the copper, all materials and tools. $25/person or $45/2 people.

Silver band/ring class. Come and make a silver band ring--complete with an inscription inside. All materials and tools will be provided. $35/person or $65/for two people. 

Girls' Night Out! Thin silver ~ copper ~ brass bracelets class. Come and make silver, copper and brass bracelets. All materials and tools will be provided. You choose how many you want to make. $40 for all three bracelets or al a carte: $25/1 silver bracelet, $15/1 copper bracelet, $15/1 brass bracelet.

~ We are also able to give demonstrations and one day classes to schools, "girl's night out," church groups, birthday parties scouts, etc. We are happy to travel around Northern Utah. If you would like us to do something in another place, please let us know and we can see what the options are. ~
