Exhibition

Rene and his Weber State students held their jewelry exhibition last Thursday. Each student showcased his/her jewelry that s/he created this past semester. It was a fabulous night. We are so excited to set up, we forgot to bring the camera. Oops!! Hopefully we will get some pictures from others who were there so we can share them with you.

Each student wrote up a description of the pieces along with what their inspiration was for the jewelry. The displays were set up in the collections room of the Stewart Library of Weber State.

We all enjoyed socializing, eating refreshments and enjoying the work of others. (And I am sure the students were relieved the semester is finially finished.......)

Masonic Lodge

Rene recently did some work for a local Masonic Lodge in Northern Utah. He made the sun, moon and triangle on the backdrop out of silver and brass. Big or small, he does it all.

Engagement Rings

In Colombia, there is a tradition for a boy to give a girl an esmeralda (emerald) in the engagement ring. Emeralds from Colombia are found to have the highest quality and clarity in the world. Here are some "engagement" rings that Rene designed and made with 22k gold.
